Mobilization by Laurent Fabius of the French mechanism to promote exports and the attractiveness of France (Paris, October 2014)
Laurent Fabius brought together the special representatives for trade relations with some of our partners as well as the key figures responsible for consolidating the priority export sectors.
He also brought to a close the Invest in France Agency and Ubifrance opening sessions. The merger of these two entities into a single agency will take effect on January 1, 2015.
The strengthening of this mechanism is aimed at increasing the mobilization of state services in order to promote foreign trade and the attractiveness of France. Efforts will be continued in order to increase the proportion of French export companies (approximately 12% of all companies that provide goods and services) and boost foreign direct investment. With 20,000 foreign companies based in its territory, France ranks fourth internationally in terms of FDI stock.
