French design in the Dubai Design Week

For the second edition of the Dubai Design Week, the cultural department of the French Embassy, the Institut français, will highlight French design which was responsible for the spawning of generations of designers who succeeded in being internationally renowned, under the label ‘Créative France’.

This will include:

– Exhibition “20 icons of French design” : Famous productions of French designers, since the late 1920s until the XXIst century (Hall 7 R01)

Conference ‘Intellectual Property – the necessary protection tool’, 27th october at 9:30am in Global Grad Show building 6 with Abdelrahman Hassan Al Muaini, General Secretary of the Emirates Intellectual Property Association
Carole Bremeersch, Regional Counsellor for Intellectual Property Matters in the Middle East, INPI
Hichem Gouicem, Middle East and Africa Legal Manager & Anti-counterfeiting Area Manager
Isabelle Leroux, Partner in Dentons’ Dubai and Paris offices, Head of IP Middle East

– Presentation of ambitious projects of French design schools’ postgrads from Nantes and Saint-Etienne from 24th to 28th october from 10am to 9pm and the 29th october from 9am to 6pm in Global Grad Show building 6 Atrium
