L’Ecole Van Cleef & Arpels is coming to Dubai ! [fr]
L’Ecole Van Cleef & Arpels is coming to the Middle East for the first time during the Dubai Design District, from the 7th to the 25th of November, 2017.
L’Ecole, school created in 2012 in Paris with the support of the Maison Van Cleef & Arpels to share the secrets of jewelry and watchmaking is coming to the Middle East for the first time during the Dubai Design District, from the 7th to the 25th of November, 2017. The curriculum will be organized around three themes: Art History of Jewelry, the Universe of Gemstones and Savoir Faire. Evening conversations, several exhibits and other activities around jewelry will complement the offering of the first visit of the Paris-based school to the Middle East region.
L’École des Arts Joailliers, the Paris-based School of Jewellery Arts associated with luxury jewelry brand Van Cleef and Arpels, is opening a pop-up campus in Dubai.
Registration is now open for classes and workshops. They will take place at Hai d3, in the Dubai Design District, from 7 to 25 November 2017.
The French Embassy to the UAE, with the Institut français des Emirats arabes unis / Cultural department of the French Embassy is happy to be one of the educational supporters of L’ÉCOLE.
L’École will offer 14 adult classes around three broad themes: Savoir-Faire, Art History of Jewels, and The Universe of Gemstones. These classes provide an introduction with some hands-on experience “to all those who want to learn and become an enlightened amateur”, and they are of course oriented towards Van Cleef & Arpels’ take on the subject; but they are delivered by professionals and have a decent reputation.
There are also workshops for children aged 5 to 16.
Visit the dedicated website: https://me.lecolevancleefarpels.com/en/home to see the schedule of the classes and register.
Class sizes are limited, so prior registration is essential – email email@example.com or call: 800 – VANCLEEF

There’s no fee as such, but students registered for the adult classes are asked to contribute a minimum of AED 400 – all of which will be donated to Dubai Cares. (The kids’ workshops are free of charge.) The idea is to participate in “The Year of Giving” as declared by the UAE President, by His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan.
