For the opening of the GITEX ("Gulf Information Technology Exhibition"), an annual fair dedicated to new technologies, the Ambassador of France, H.E Ludovic Pouille, visited the French pavilion to support the exhibiting French startups. More than twenty companies, from very different sectors (Internet of Things, data security, LiFi, cybersecurity) gathered under the label “French Tech”
Created in 2013, the French Tech is an international network which gathers innovative entrepreneurs, engineers and public organizations, to promote the French startups ecosystem in France and abroad.
In October 2016, on the occasion of this GITEX, the French Tech opened a hub in Dubai, the "French Tech Hub Dubai", to spread the French expertise in the field of new technologies in the United Arab Emirates and the region.
The French Pavilion has been honored to welcome His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai. The Ambassador of France also met with the Minister of State for Artificial Intelligence, His Excellence Omar bin Sultan al Olama.
