The exhibition “40 years of archaeological cooperation between the United Arab Emirates and France” was inaugurated on 18th October 2017 by H.H. Dr Sheikh Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Ruler of Sharjah, and H.E Ludovic Pouille, French Ambassador to the United Arab Emirates

The exhibition “40 years of archaeological cooperation between the United Arab Emirates and France” “” was inaugurated on 18th October 2017 by H.H. Dr Sheikh Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Ruler of Sharjah, and H.E Ludovic Pouille, French Ambassador to the United Arab Emirates. The exhibition was attended by H.E Manal Ataya, Director General of Sharjah Museums Authority, H.E. Amal al Koos, Secretary General of the UAE National commission of UNESCO, and a number of VIP guests.

The Largest-ever exhibition of UAE archaeological treasures in Sharjah

This exhibition is the result of 40 years of common excavation and celebrates the strong relations between the United Arab Emirates and France since 1977 on the field of archaeology. Running until January 31, 2018, the exhibition celebrates a historic partnership that has linked the UAE and France for 40 years.

On this occasion, France and the five Emirates of Abu Dhabi, Fujairah, Ras-al-Khaimah, Sharjah and Umm-al-Quwain where the French mission conducted searches, cooperate within the framework of this ambitious cultural and scientific project at a federal level.
